Let there be day!.. and night!


I made a day/night cycle! It was super challenging. So challenging that I ended up writing a ton of unit tests. On the plus side, I've been struggling to start writing unit tests for Unity, and it finally makes sense!

This took me the longest to implement so far. There was a lot of confusing logic around how I decided to convert real time to in game time. I wrote tests around everything, found the bugs and got everything  working! There's still work to do to get the sunrise and sunset looking believable. You can catch the sun turning off right at sunset in the gif, for instance, but I think that's enough for this iteration!
